Conflicting Browsing

What to do, what to do!  It was another busy morning here at the office. We woke up this morning and did our usual good morning tech reading and found the following two articles which you should browse at your leisure:  IBM adpots Firefox, and IE9 includes Hardware Accelerated canvas.

Now, we here at guidePosthost.com have been using Firefox as our official browser of choice since we first began crawling through the net as web-infants.  The security the browser provides, along with the plug-ins, and customs tools are invaluable on a daily basis to our work here.  But now IE9 is taunting us - hardware accelerated canvas is an exciting concept for a web browser.  It would allow a new experience for web browsing and an especially exciting chance for web developers. A whole new level of graphic intensive sites can be developed just with the 2-D "canvas" tag in mind - knowing that it is now backed with the full hardware of the user's machine.  As far as I know no other browser provides this service to date.

Is something like this enough to make someone change back to Internet Explorer, after years of an alternate browser?  I'm not sure...but we here at guidePosthost.com just might be willing to tinker a bit.  We'll certainly be keeping an eye on things!
