So its been days and days since our last post - and with good reason! We've been doing some exciting upgrades to our systems, and our parts just recently came in! New motherboards have been installed! We've gotten a new phone system, which seems to be working incredibly well and allows our departments even more efficient communication.
guidePosthost has a few new coworkers that might be joining our team - we're keeping the details under our collective hats for now until we have the details ironed out, but we're very excited about the potential new talent we've got joining us!
In technology news - biggest story - the possible recall of the new 4G iPhone, of course. We all know that there have been some issues with the reception capabilities of the new iPhone; since the antenna is on the sides of the phone and human skin - containing water and therefore being conductive - is conducive to electricity the phone loses some reception when the user holds the sides of the phone. Naturally. Thus, sometimes the phone drops a few calls, or has trouble with call quality. Most people would accept the fact as a part of life and move on if they wanted their precious apps badly enough. Instead this reception problem seems to have everyone up in arms against Steve Jobs, the iPhone, AT&T, etc. We here at guidePosthost see the iPhone much in the way that they portray the eyePhone on one of the latest Futurama episodes (see Season 6, episode 3) - "Salesperson: You have no choice of carriers, there is only one plan, the apps are limited, you have terrible reception..." Fry: Shut-up and take my money!!" The iPhone is really cool, and incredibly useful - but just like everything else, it has its ups and downs. If you want all the positive aspects that come with the phone, you just might have to put up with a little bit of poor reception. Yes, Jobs might have been told about the reception issues before the release of the phone. Even so - is a complete recall of the phone really the solution to the reception problem? Or with a months time, could the geniuses at the Apple come up with, say, a 10 dollar case that covers the phone and reduces conductivity from finger to phone and fixes the issue? We sure don't know - but its worth a paragraph's rant!
Well, we hope you've enjoyed this latest update. We here at guidePosthost will do our best to keep you up to date with the latest information we've got. Until next time, readers.

Conflicting Browsing
What to do, what to do! It was another busy morning here at the office. We woke up this morning and did our usual good morning tech reading and found the following two articles which you should browse at your leisure: IBM adpots Firefox, and IE9 includes Hardware Accelerated canvas.
Now, we here at guidePosthost.com have been using Firefox as our official browser of choice since we first began crawling through the net as web-infants. The security the browser provides, along with the plug-ins, and customs tools are invaluable on a daily basis to our work here. But now IE9 is taunting us - hardware accelerated canvas is an exciting concept for a web browser. It would allow a new experience for web browsing and an especially exciting chance for web developers. A whole new level of graphic intensive sites can be developed just with the 2-D "canvas" tag in mind - knowing that it is now backed with the full hardware of the user's machine. As far as I know no other browser provides this service to date.
Is something like this enough to make someone change back to Internet Explorer, after years of an alternate browser? I'm not sure...but we here at guidePosthost.com just might be willing to tinker a bit. We'll certainly be keeping an eye on things!

The First Post
Welcome to the very first post of the guidePostHost blog. We here at guidePosthost aren't all about business (although it is our major focus, naturally.) We're here to host and design websites, keep up with the latest technology, and make sure our customers get the very best out of the crazy world of the Internet. But in order to do that, our team needs to stay on top of all the latest trends in the fields of computers and technology. We read articles, listen to gossip, surf the web, ride the ether, smooth the glass, and any number of other euphemisms that actually mean we love to ogle new shiny things. That being the case we thought it might be a good idea to bring some of our findings to you, our potential customers, and make your lives just that little bit easier. So, not only will we let you know about our latest updates, our greatest finds, our coolest customers (so come and sign up for our services, because everyone wants to be mentioned in our blog!) - we'll also go ahead and post anything related and nifty we happen to run across. So don't be afraid to come and check the blog for fun links and opinions every now and again!
